Gluten intolerance linked to female hormone imbalances

November 2011 – There is good news for women struggling with PMS, infertility and miscarriages. Gluten intolerance and related conditions are linked to more than 300 diseases and conditions – mostly commonly noted are those linked to an imbalance of female hormones. Glucose intolerance can lead to excesses and deficiencies of hormones the adrenal hormones, such as DHEA, estrogen, progesterone and testosterone. The most common result is adrenal fatigue which can leave many women tired, moody and even sick. Awareness of gluten intolerance is growing and its link to hormone imbalances is finding its way to the forefront.
